These courses deliver a transformation in the way that small business owners and managers think about and manage the cyber risk in their business. Their transformation is from worrying about a potentially catastrophic risk that may currently be unmanaged to having the confidence that the business has an effective framework, mindset, strategy and tactical plan in place to manage cyber risk.
The first course that I launched in 2021 was a 5-week live Coaching Course that helped small business owners create their Pathway to Peace of Mind from Cyber risk. The Coaching Course has since been expanded to 6 weeks and is offered three times a year. It is delivered live on Zoom to small groups of business owners and managers as an interactive online experience that delivers strong results to participants.
I wanted a way to communicate what I had learned to a wider audience of owners and managers of small businesses as I believed the approach would work for them. I decided that video based self-study on-demand online courses were the best way to deliver what I know and what I have learned.
I have now launched two such courses: The Pathway Course and the Jumpstart Course. These courses help the owners and managers of small knowledge-based businesses,
who are concerned about cyber risk and want to be empowered to manage it, begin their journey to cyber resilience.
IT skills are not required for the courses as the focus is on managing cyber as a business risk, not just an IT issue. Brief details of the courses are below.
The Pathway Course is a self-study online education course that helps the owners and managers of small knowledge-based businesses create their Pathway to Peace of Mind from cyber risk.
The course is comprised of six Sections. Each Section deals with one topic and each topic builds on the previous one. Each Section includes teaching, presented through a series of pre-recorded videos, a Poll to gather your views, a Q&A feature, slide deck handouts, supporting documents and Action Points to be taken.
The
course material includes approximately five and a half hours of video content. All content is available on joining the
course and the Sections can be completed on demand at your own pace.
The Jumpstart Courseā is a self-study online education course that gives the owners and managers of small knowledge-based businesses the jumpstart they need to create their first Cyber Resilience Plan.
The course contains 4 Sections, each of which includes teaching, presented through a series of pre-recorded videos, a Poll to gather your views, a Q&A feature, slide deck handouts, supporting document PDF handouts and details of the Action Points.
The course material includes approximately three hours and 45 minutes of video content. All 4 Section are available on joining and the course can be completed at your own pace.
The course is a collaborative live online learning experience that is only offered to a small group (20 maximum) at any one time. It offers participants significant one-to-one engagement with me as the course instructor and the opportunity to ask any questions you have, Feedback is both requested and expected.
If you want a short course that will jumpstart your efforts with cyber risk in a short period of time, where the focus is on Technology risk, and you are prepared to work through the material at your own pace, the Jumpstart course is right for you.
If you want a course with an extensive curriculum that will help you create your Pathway to Peace of Mind from cyber risk, where the focus is on Technology risk, People risk and Governance risk and you are prepared to make their own way through the course material at your own pace, the Pathway course will meet your needs.
If you want a
live small group coaching course that offers an engaging online experience over 6 weeks, an extensive curriculum and significant one-to-one engagement with the course instructor, including a final session to review your plan, the Coaching Course will be your best option.
Email support is available for all courses and all courses will deliver the promised results if you are prepared to put in the work that the course requires.
